Sr. Satellite Specialist
This position provides SATCOM transmissions control and operations technical support and analysis expertise and technical assistance for analysis of SATCOM transmissions, configurations of SATCOM accesses, and link performance of SATCOM accesses in support of the Wideband SATCOM Operations and Technical Support II (WSOTS II) contract mission.
Supports operations personnel performing mission/program specific real-time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during pre-launch readiness, operational and evaluation phases. Develops detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support and analysis in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, and on-orbit command and control and special operations to resolve inconsistencies, identify anomalous conditions, and determine system application and operational techniques. Supports fault diagnosis and repair of systems and instruments. Supports test and validation of software performance. Develops technical documentation and procedures for installation, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment. Documentation is prepared in accordance with technical specifications, program requirements, and quality standards. Supports the training of on-site personnel. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Bachelors Degree in engineering, physical science, mathematics or computer science or equivalent experience and three years of experience in satellite operations, performance analysis, tracking and control. In lieu of educational requirements, at least 6 years of related experience in the area of US Army SATCOM is required.
Expertise in SATCOM Transmissions Control Operations and troubleshooting
Exhibits exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness with troubleshooting and customer service
Experience working with US Army SATCOM, Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS), SATCOM transmissions, and/or DSCS highly desired.
Understanding of cybersecurity and network administration is a plus.
Requires DoD Top Secret security clearance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
