Sr. IT Database Administrator
The Database Administrator (DBA) is accountable for database support and services to the WSOMS sites in support of the Wideband SATCOM Operations and Technical Support (WSOTS) II contract mission.
The DBA monitors the relationship between users and applications, applies understanding of relational databases concepts and query languages to design summary and aggregate tables to support analysis. Monitors, analyzes and resolves issues related to information flow and data architecture standards. Other responsibilities include development and implementation of standards, data modeling and space usage requirements. Under general direction, uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support team. Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks. Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices. Sr. Administrators will prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members. This position relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and a broad knowledge of the field to ensure task completion in compliance with policies and procedures.
Root cause analysis and corrective action on database issues
Design, development and sustainment of SQL Queries including stored procedures and PL/SQL code
Develop and sustain documentation including ER Diagrams, Physical/Logical database layouts, maintenance and user guides, sizing reports, and Configuration Management documentation and other specifications.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field plus 9 years applicable experience. In lieu of educational requirements, at least 15 years of related experience in the area of database administration is required.
Requires DoD 8140 (DoD 8570) Cybersecurity certification
Expertise with database utilities for databases including, but not limited to ORACLE and SQL Server
Exhibits exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness for problem solving and customer service; excellent written and verbal communications skills
Experience working with US Army SATCOM systems highly desired
Understanding of cybersecurity and network administration is a plus
An active Top-Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI is required
Ability to provide 24/7/365 immediate, on-call support for WSOMS sites
May require travel to OCONUS locations

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
