Bonus - Gordon, GA Founded in 2000, our client has grown exponentially and is now a major contender for some of the most difficult earth moving projects in Georgia.
Their services include site layout, demolition, grading, storm and sewer drainage, plumbing, concrete, curbing, paving, utilities, erosion control and much more! They come well equipped with a large fleet of excavators, dozers, land levelers and much more.
This has allowed them to complete projects efficiently and safely for over 20 years.
The Construction Grading Manager will be a crucial player on this local team.
We are in need of an experienced Construction Grading Manager that will be overseeing construction projects from beginning to end.
This person must have extensive experience with dirt-work projects with specific experience and understanding of budget management and heavy equipment.
This person will be expected to successfully manage anywhere from 70-80 people at any given time.
Responsibilities:
Solve problems in real time especially regarding plans and specifications Oversee construction projects from beginning to end Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule Prepare reports regarding job status Resolve any problems that may arise Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes Evaluate risks Train and mentor Project Managers and Foremen Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites Plan construction operations on all Grading projects with Project manager Ensure all deadlines are met Delegate responsibilities Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 8
years of experience as a Grading Manager or Project Manager with specific emphasis managing budgets for dirt-work construction projects PMP or an equivalent certification is highly desired but not required Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment Highly organized Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Procore or other construction management software is required Ability to read and understand contract drawings and specifications Must be able to read blueprints Must be able to visit job-sites up to 60% of the week A current and valid driver's license Compensation:
